Mpanel is the only true Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) by virtue of reinforced concrete.

Up to now, SIPs are a sandwich made of a sheathing over a foam core. Typically materials such as OSB wood panel or cementicious panel are currently used for the sheathing and expanded polystyrene (EPS) for the core. These panels must be attached to underlying structure to become structural, thus are not really structural. To have a finished wall or roof, a finish must then be applied.

Mpanel is a revolutionary design. It is fabricated out of extruded expanded polystyrene (XPS) core with structural electro-welded wire mesh on both faces. Assembled on site to create walls, floors and roofs.

Once erected in place, it is covered with concrete using shotcrete techniques. This process allows Mpanel to become a truly structural, monolithic envelope that may support up to 4 stories high without any additional re-bar or structural member. Note: this product should not be used without a complete structural design by a certified structural engineer.

 It is important to note, once Mpanel is installed, no additional finishes (drywall or siding) need to be applied. The wall / ceiling is ready for texture and paint, generating important savings in cost, time and construction logistics.
